The new Benji was adopted from The Humane Society of South Mississippi in Gulfport. Lizard Tongue (Shaggy) was adopted from the Animal Care and Control shelter in South Chicago. We don’t really know what their stories were prior to adoption…
…but it could’ve been this very story.
The television news broadcasts heard over the opening titles were verbatim
from actual broadcasts in the cities noted. The voices were re-recorded
and are not the original broadcasters.
