Joe Camp Pens Dare to Dream
An Uplifting Story and Book of Choices That Will Make Dreams Come True.

Valley Center CA – January 5, 2005 - Everybody has a dream. Everybody needs hope. Everybody wants to know that dreams can, in fact, come true. And everybody wants to know how to make it so. Dare to Dream – How to Turn Obstacles into a Worldwide Phenomenon Like Benji is a road map, a blueprint, and an inspiration. It outlines the choices that can make dreams come true for anyone, and proves them with real life example in a compelling, emotionally involving story that could be mistaken for a work of fiction. But isn’t.

Joe Camp is from the wrong place, with the wrong education, the wrong philosophy, and the wrong product. He was rejected by every studio in Hollywood, more than once, and without any help from those studios, he turned a cute, lovable, floppy-eared notion into a worldwide phenomenon that is known and loved all around the globe. And the message of this book is that if this incorrectly educated, small-time advertising guy from the sticks can do it with his dream, anyone can do it.

The book empowers and inspires everyone who reads it to reach beyond any conceived perception of his or her own limitations, and it details the choices that will create success. It’s an elixir for the human spirit, a book that proves that the unknown, the uncelebrated can still mount a white horse, charge off into the distance and accomplish things worthwhile, against the odds, and leave the world a better place for the effort. Actual reports from readers call Dare to Dream an uplifting story that sends folks off in search of heights heretofore thought of as unreachable.

Joe is currently making final revisions on the manuscript, which parallels one of his most requested speaking presentations. He has previously written three novels from his own screenplays (including the Harper-Collins published novel of the 2004 film Benji Off the Leash), plus one other inspirational non-fiction book, and several children’s books. He has written, produced and directed seven theatrical motion pictures (including all of the Benji movies) cumulatively grossing well over the equivalent of $600 million in today’s dollars, making him one of the most successful independent filmmakers of all time.

At the moment, in addition to finalizing Dare to Dream, he is three chapters deep into his next non-fiction book God Only Knows.
